Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator

Our team is exceptionally well-experienced in carrying out the role of Employer’s Agent and Contract Administrator.  The exact role can be bespoke to suit individual circumstances or unique contractual arrangements required by a client.  Our services cover pre and post contract responsibilities on a wide range of projects/funding requirements/complex financial models.

  • We believe our role as EA/Contract Administrator starts at project inception
  • We will help our client develop the project brief
  • We will help our client develop the project team if required
  • We will attend all design team meetings
  • We will advise on matters such as demolition, site investigations, ground investigations etc
  • We will advise on what, if any, specialist services/consultancies will be required pre-planning
  • We will advise the client of obligations under the CDM Regulations
  • We will liaise with clients on the development of a set of ‘Employer’s Requirements’, bespoke to their project
  • We will ensure the agreed ‘Employer Requirements’ are fully adopted by the design team and are fully incorporated into any tender documentation
  • We will prepare and maintain a project execution plan, identifying roles and responsibilities of all parties to the contract
  • We will advise on suitable tenderers
  • We will review and comment on tender returns (errors, omissions, exclusions, deviation from Employer’s Requirements etc)
  • We will liaise with the wider professional team and make a formal recommendation regarding preferred contractor

  • We will administer the contract on behalf of the Employer
  • Chair and minute regular/monthly progress meetings
  • Liaise with clients and professional teams in regard to any changes required during the contract period
  • Obtain advice on Quality/Cost implications and obtain full agreement of client prior to instructing
  • Undertake regular site inspections
  • Agree all testing regimes, statutory/non-statutory approvals
  • Prepare and arrange all handover procedures
  • Accept handover on behalf of client (if required)
